THE AESTHETICS OF SUSTAINABILITY
A PROPOSAL FOR CREATIVE LIVING GROUP INTERVENTIONS TO BENEFIT AMAZONIA AND THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY 

PLANNING STAGE OF INTERVENTIONS STARTING SUMMER 2016
ACTION
The formation of cross-cultural/trans-disciplinary Relief & Development groups to work on specific problems arising in Amazonia and other areas of indigenous habitation. Each project (3-12 weeks) begins with research to identify problems and possible solutions. Follow-on Development in sustainable networks.

BRAZIL PILGRIMAGE
Envisaged projects so far are in Maringá, Rondonia, Altamira and Manaus.

KEYNOTE:
Integrating traditional living and progressive thinking in sustainable aesthetic culture. The promotion of culture as an indispensable component of sustainable development. . Using the problem solving capital of artists.

NEEDS RESEARCH
Inventory of needs in Amazonia and areas of indigenous population.  Cross-cultural and trans-disciplinary research. Strategies for Relief & Development

SEED BANK 
Seeds as needs. Collecting data on needs and using it in group mindfulness and dialogue to achieve well-thought-out consensus, incubating insights on problems identified, for sustainable interventions. 

CONTEXT
By 2050 only 50% of the Amazon will remain according to most sources.
Development needs balancing with ecology in a sustainable aesthetic.
Indigenous rights and well being are synonymous with world sustainability. 
Care and kindness of indigenous communities and rights is central to this project.
